Pastor Robin thanked everyone who helped with the Spring Clean-Up last Sunday, cleaning up our church grounds. Thank you to the Centennial women: Bev, Sandy, Carol and Joyce, who provided hospitality, beverages and snacks. Also, thank you to the Mike Peterson family who came later and mowed the yard and spiffed everything up.
Kathy Hess-Stevens asked for prayers—her husband’s friend, Jean Bass Aune, has pancreatic cancer and nonalcoholic liver cancer. Please pray for Kathy’s family as well as for Jean for renewed strength and renewed appetite.
Kathy Hess-Stevens expressed prayers of joy for Chelsey receiving her 2nd COVID vaccine.
Pastor Robin asked for prayers for the Elk River High School. The students continue to struggle with conflict around issues of racism. If you have any input into that or ways to help that conversation, I ask that you do so. Please seek ways to address these issues in your homes, families, community with these students.
The extended Narr family is traveling to Joplin, Missouri, to commemorate and bury the ashes of Diane’s brother, Mark, for whom we had a memorial service in December. There are also multiple family birthdays they are celebrating as well. Prayers for good memories being made and for safe travels.
Pastor Robin thanked Hesther Bowman and Gigi Nauer for stepping up this morning to help with today’s sermon logistics—Hesther as cantor and Gigi as video photographer.
Kathy Hess-Stevens replied Gigi’s request to reflect and call out the name/names of those who you consider a friend. When Kathy needs her friend, Candy, who has passed, Kathy feels her presence.
Rylie Anderson expressed the joy of traveling with her mom, Jen, and her grandmother, Diane, on this Mother’s Day.
Blessings to All
Happy Mother’s Day!
