Pray With Lebanon

"United Church of Christ and Christian Church (Disciples of Christ) partners, including the Union of the Armenian Evangelical Churches in the Near East (UAECNE), are endeavoring to reconstruct damaged institutions, most of which suffered destruction in the calamitous explosion of August 4, 2020. The Union is also continuing its spiritual and social ministry, giving support to the surrounding community.
One of those efforts is in conjunction with the students and staff of Haigazian University. As funds come in, they roll up their sleeves and help repair homes that are still in ruins after the blast, encourage those whose jobs have vanished, and feed some of the ever-increasing numbers of those who are food insecure.
Another partner, the Fellowship of Middle East Evangelical Churches, distributes boxes of essential sanitary items to households of people in the disaster zone, including clergy, all of whom are struggling to live on salaries that are worth less than a tenth of the value they had 18 months ago.
It is Christ who determines who is a member of his family. They are the beloved who attend to his Word and then go out and do it."

*A big thank you to Gigi and Carson for stepping in this morning in Sam’s place.
*A prayer of joy and celebration for Arabelle Rohs who was chosen as freshman student of the year. Congratulations, Arabelle!
*Marilyn Olson shared a joy that they will be able to see their grandsons in person— first time since January 1, 2020.
*A prayerful thanksgiving for everyone helping in hosting and donating in the second hosting of the three Family Promise families. We hold these families in our prayers as well as two more families will be added this week.

We pray for all who are protesting Line 3
"Environmental and tribal groups opposed to Enbridge Energy’s ongoing effort to replace its aging Line 3 crude oil pipeline are planning large protests in northern Minnesota as the Canadian-based company gears up for a final construction push". We offer prayers up for the water. People of faith have come to support the indigenous led movement to stop Line 3

We also lift up prayers for the MN Conference and all participating in the Annual Meeting taking place this week June 6th-13th.

*Pastor Robin asked for prayers for Allison Eckberg who became ill and fainted this morning. Sam took her to Urgent Care. No word on her condition at this time. Please pray for Allison as well as Sam, Basil and Cecily.
* Please pray for Jeanette Leland. Her husband, Dave, passed away. He had a long illness and was in hospice. Prayers for Jeanette, their daughters, family and friends.
* Rylie Anderson asked for prayers during this heat wave for those without homes.
