Prayers for the Philippines
In the name of Christ our Messiah,
We are sent out as your disciples to do more than just proclaim the good news. But to root out injustice, fight for equality, and dismantle those systems that would limit us from fully experiencing your love. Help our preaching and ministry to be true to the table turning, world altering mission of your presence. Be our guide in the healing our world continues to need as we move forward through this health crisis.
We are especially aware of the injustices that face our siblings throughout the Philippines. We call for a stop on the extra-judicial killings. We call for a stop on the targeting of pastors and activists. We will always stand by the Church’s ministry and mission.
We pray for Peace.
We resist any act of injustice.
We are the church.
Amen.

Sunday, June 27th
*Jackie Schuelein shared the joy of being in church in person today, and for being well enough to do that.
*A joy! Last Sunday it was announced that Chelsey Stevens was chosen to be in the Basketball Special Olympics. She has played basketball for 10-15 years. Now she has been chosen to be in the USA Basketball Special Olympic Games on June 20, 2022. What a great accomplishment for Chelsey. We are all proud of you!!
*Mary Wilson wished everyone a Happy 4th of July! She said many will be gathering with family and friends to celebrate—something they probably haven’t done for over a year. She hopes everyone has a good time and stays safe.

Prayers of concern for our church community
Sunday, June 27th
*Jackie asked for prayers for Ron’s older brother, Merritt, who is hospitalized and diagnosed with pancreatic cancer. He is 91.
* Pastor Robin asked for prayers for Jimmy Stevens and his mom, Dee. Jimmy has had many health issues and has been in and out of the hospital. His wish was to go to Branson, so his family took him despite his medical picture. Please hold Jimmy and family in your prayers.
*Pastor Robin encouraged us to continue our prayers for those on our Special Concerns list.
